WolfHeart was founded in 1999. The new ranch location is twenty acres located in beautiful southwestern Missouri. The ranch is great for Miniature Donkeys because they love the rocky, hilly terrain.
Joyce is a graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Agriculture, and minors in Animal Science and Marketing. At age seven, Joyce got her first pony, she has raised, trained and showed Quarter Horses for the majority of her adult years. Her passion was focused on Cutting Horses which explains many of the names of her Miniature Donkeys. She spent several years working for Cutting Horse Trainers including Buster Welch and Kenneth Jackson. A multiple NMDA National Champion winner, published author, exporter and international donkey showman are just a few of the accomplishments the Miniature Donkey herd have allowed Joyce to achieve.
Breeding is a serious endeavor and Joyce takes the stewardship of the donkeys very seriously. It has been a wonderful experience traveling and meeting other donkey breeders, along with finding quality breeding animals. She has purchased the majority of her herd from the top breeders in several states.
The goal is to have thirty outstanding brood jennets and two herd sires. It is a process that takes time and patience. When you purchase a Miniature Donkey from WolfHeart you can be assured you are purchasing a healthy and correct animal from a reputable breeder. All WolfHeart donkeys are sold current on their vaccines, worming and hoof care. You will receive a complete health record with your new donkey.
The well being of the donkeys is very important, so lifetime after sales support is guaranteed to customers. Joyce is always available to answer questions and assist new breeders or first time Miniature Donkey owners.
